Was a beautiful morning for a run. Too early for the sun to be up, but it was about 72 degrees and not a hint of wind. I love running in that calm stillness. Still feeling sick and it seemed to take more out of me today than on Monday. I ran the second mile a little too hard. Pacing felt all off and I cut the run at 2 miles. Funny thing I noticed in the data below. My heart rate dipped significantly near the first half mile mark. I remember distinctly having that feeling of being in "the zone" at that point. The body just settles down and all of a sudden the effort level drops even though the performance doesn't. Will be looking to work on getting the mind into this state more often during my workouts. You have to train the brain as much, if not more, than the rest of your body.
