Today was a planned rest day as it is the day before my FIRST TRIATHLON!!! Pretty darn excited! Went down and picked up my race packet and was able to have a nice dinner out with my girlfriend. Tried focusing on loading up on carbs, but fell short of my goal of 600-700 grams. Funny how you can find all kinds of things talking about how Americans eat too many carbs, but when you try to load up on them, it can actually be kind of hard. Not too worried about it. It is just a sprint triathlon, so as long as I don't starve myself, I'm sure I'll be fine. More than doubled my normal caloric intake of 1200-1300 calories. 2709?!?!?!? I certainly wasn't hungry all day. TOMORROW'S THE BIG DAY!!!
